I personally like to get my hands on some good food after a night out with the boys and what better place to eat than at “Jahan Grills” in Gudaibiya, Bahrain. There are 2 main reason why we visit this place. For one the food comes really cheap and secondly it serves some of the best grilled meats in Bahrain, PERIOD !

The cheap food is thanks to the meat subsidy that the government of Bahrain has in place for its citizens and residents. Located near the Palace Avenue Junction (ex roundabout), it cannot be missed. Reason ? There are cars parked and double parked outside this establishment and the crowd gets worse late at night.

Our No. 1 favourite is the Riyash (Grilled Lamb Chops). I can’t quite comment on the spices they use since it’s quite hard to gauge the flavours that this dish can pull out ! All I can say is the meat is super soft, tender, falls off the bone and melts in your mouth. It is best had with a plate of humus and the complimentary arugula, green chilli and lemon salad.

The other dishes to try out are the kebabs that they have on menu that are just as good as the Riyash.
