‘Chalita Cafe & Restaurant’ in Krabi Town is a quaint little restaurant & a great place to experience local Thai cuisine and we were fortunate enough to try out a few of their specials.
“Mussaman Pork Curry with Rice” was my personal favourite. The hot thick gravy is cooked with coconut cream, peanuts and Thai spices which really tenderises the pork and the rice really added a lot of depth. I would include this into my list of comfort foods worth eating.

“The Pork Laab Salad” is prepared with ground pork and seasoned with herbs and chillies with a faint hint of fish sauce. It is quite simple, light and tasteful and packs some heat. Don’t worry, the fish sauce isn’t over powering at all and adds much needed flavour.

Sareeka had the “Steamed Fish Fillet with Soy Sauce” which also came with a serving of plain sticky rice. The fish was cooked just right breaking off in flakes and with the soy sauce giving it the much needed flavour and salt. You really need to rice to soak up the sauces that flavour this lovely piece of fish. I’m not quite sure what fish was used here but I would pay for more of that lovely fish. This is a great place to eat at while in Krabi.
