The Avenues in Bahrain is a great place to hangout with everything from my favourite food joints to VOX cinemas and a fantastic view of the Four Seasons Hotel. Nabeel recommended we try @blazepizzame for an early lunch before we headed to the movies.

The tiled & wooded interiors had that timeless feel and the whole place had been tastefully decorated. We decided to get half n half and went for the ‘BBQ Chicken’ & ‘Green Stripe’ signature pizzas.

The BBQ Chicken had grilled bits of chicken, mozzarella, red onions, peppers, blue cheese and a drizzle of BBQ sauce. The base had charred slightly making the base slightly crunchy but didn’t affect the overall taste of the pizza. Loved the onion, smoked chicken and cheese flavours that really came together.

I absolutely love ‘Pesto’ and the ‘Green Stripe’ had pesto that had been generously sprinked on and coupled with the garlic and argula, this was a truly enjoyable pizza. The argula compliments the pesto chicken with its peppery tang.

My only complaint would be about the pizza base which they had overdone on both pizzas.
