Chicken – 750g -1 Kg (preferably ‘Tanmiah Fresh Chicken’)
Onions (medium) – 5 / 300g (finely sliced)
Yogurt (whipped) – 1 1/2 cup / 300g
Ginger Garlic Paste – 2 tbsp
Ginger Julienne – 2 table spoon
Green Chili – 5 pcs
Red Chili Masala – 1tsp
Oil / Ghee – 1 1/4 cup / 225 g
Water – As required
Mehran Qorma Masala Mix – 1 packet
1. Marinate the chicken with ‘Mehran Qorma Masala Mix’, Red Chilli powder,Yogurt, 1tsp salt and leave aside for 30 – 45 minutes.
2. Heat the oil/ghee, add Ginger Garlic Paste and saute for 2 minutes before adding the onions and on medium heat cook till onions turn golden.
3. Add the marinated chicken mix, and cook on low heat for 5-6 minutes till the chicken sears slightly. Make sure it is covered which will help release water from the chicken, add some chopped Green Chilli and julienne ginger once this step has been completed.
4. When chicken becomes tender and oil separates, add water and cook for 10 minutes on low heat till oil comes on top.
Garnish with ginger julienne, green chili and coriander and serve with Rice or Naan.
Serve for 6-8 persons.
