A Gorgeous Cafe in the Heart of Al Khobar – ‘The 3rd Place’

‘The 3rd Place’ is the most ideal location to enjoy some top notch breakfast in Al Khobar and the perfect time to check this place out would be during the Eid Holidays. Everything here is made from scratch including the incredibly fresh Sourdough bread and the croissants. I absolutely loved the vibes that this place exudes and I have to thank Salwa Parker for recommending this place.

These are a few of the things that we ordered,

1. Truffle Scramble – SR. 38
2. Swirl Guacamole – SR. 35
3. Feta Garlic Croissant – SR. 18
4. Flat White – SR. 17
5. Orange Juice – SR. 23

The ‘Truffle Scramble’ was top notch and though there is an absence of actual truffle in the eggs, the truffle oil isn’t overpowering and the creaminess of the eggs is comforting. Compared to most breakfast spots that overcharge, the price for this dish is quite competitive at SR. 38.

The ‘Swirl Guacamole’ on the other hand was not worth that price because of the portion size but in terms of taste, this too hits the right spot. The eggs were poached to absolute perfection and the sumac lends its subtle flavour.

The Croissants are made fresh in house and that shows. The feta and garlic combination really works well though I wish the pastry was slightly on the warmer side, which could have really merged the flavours together. At. SR. 18 this is a Bargain.

SR. 17 is not much for a Flat White especially when it tastes this good.

The Orange Juice was the priciest in terms of value so I wouldn’t recommend getting it. SR. 23 is way too much for a glass of OJ.

Save this recommendation for the holidays and you wont regret it. They have outdoor seating too and a swing which I did not want to test out for fear of breaking it.
