Located in Deira’s Gold District, ‘Asian Taste‘ happened to be right next to the hotel I was staying at in Dubai and I didn”t want to let this opportunity slide especially since I absolutely love Chinese food. I believe this used to be a food court diner before they opened their own spot. Apart from being pocket friendly, the food is excellent and I cannot recommend this place enough.

I ordered,
1. ‘Spicy Beef Noodle Soup’ – AED 23
2. ‘Sweet & Sour Beef’ – AED 58

The ‘Spicy Beef Noodle Soup’ at 23 Dirhams is crazy value considering the portion size but that not all. The noodles are freshly made hand pulled and cooked just right and the chilli oil stuck on to them to give it that lovely heat. The beef was tender and the broth really hit home thanks to its flavour packed profile. This is what comfort food looks like and this is definitely a must order item.

The ‘Sweet & Sour Beef’ might sound pricey at AED 58 but there is enough portion for 2 very hungry people or even 3. Crispy on the outside, slightly glutinous and a flavoured packed slice of beef, this would have worked so well with some plain rice. I made sure to add a generous dollop of chilli oil to really bring those flavours to life and packed the rest for Sareeka to enjoy since she hadn’t joined me for lunch.

This spot is definitely packing and visiting this spot won’t leave you disappointed.
