‘Where to eat in Phuket’ – Street Food to Fine Dining by @foodwithshayne

Phuket is among the world’s finest beach destinations, with fine white sands, nodding palm trees, glittering seas and lively towns. You can take an exhilarating speedboat trip to the many nearby tropical islands, including the famous Koh Phi Phi, or enjoy a serene cruise around the mystical Phang Nga Bay. Phuket is blessed with more…

‘Tom Yum Goong Banglamphu’ – Khao San Road, Bangkok – 2nd Visit

This was my second visit to this famed street eatery in the heart of Khao San & Sareeka’s first experience with Thai food. I didn’t waste time and started ordering items off the menu, pointing at the pictures to make sure they understood what I wanted. You shouldn’t expect them to speak the language, so…

The Best ‘Beef Noodle Soup’ at “Wattana Panich” – Bangkok

I waited long to visit “Wattana Panich” after being unable to stop by on my visit to Bangkok last year. This hole in the wall has been featured in many a food blog and it only came to my notice after Mark Wiens from @migrationology wrote about the place in his blog. Looking up this…

Thai Cooking Classes at ‘Madam Ya’s Cookery School’ – Krabi, Thailand

It was our honeymoon and my 2nd trip to Thailand in less than 2 years, so I signed up for a unique experience in Krabi. Thai food has been one of my favourite cuisines and the opportunity to learn how it’s made was too enticing to miss out on. After a bit of research, it…

Local Krabi Cuisine at ‘Chalita Cafe & Restaurant’ – Krabi, Thailand

‘Chalita Cafe & Restaurant’ in Krabi Town is a quaint little restaurant & a great place to experience local Thai cuisine and we were fortunate enough to try out a few of their specials.  “Mussaman Pork Curry with Rice” was my personal favourite. The hot thick gravy is cooked with coconut cream, peanuts and Thai…

Eating Local in Phuket – “Briley Chicken and Rice”

Phuket is a wonderful place for a holiday, but with the crowds comes the plastic waste and rubbish, but one thing that hasn’t changed is the FOOD. My trip to Thailand was part inspired by Mark Wiens (@migrationology) and also by the fact that it is the street food capital of the world. Briley Chicken…

Eating at ‘Raya Restaurant’ Michellin Guide Fame – Phuket, Thailand

Another Mark Wiens recommended joint, Raya Restaurant is located in Phuket town and serves up some delicate & scrumptious Thai Sino dishes. Set in a renovated Sino-Thai mansion with a hint of Portuguese (or so I was told) this place feels more like home than a well-known restaurant. I had planned this visit well in…

“Tom Yum Goong Banglamphu” at Khao San Road, Bangkok – June 2017.

I had Mark Wiens & EatingThaiFood.com as my guide for my trip to Thailand and after checking in at the hotel, I headed straight to Tom Yum Goong Banglamphu to try out their house special, Tom Yum Goong (ต้มยำกุ้ง). The first time I read about it on eatingthaifood.com, I was drooling all over myself and…

@chicken.firrie
Today’s post is my version of the ‘Mehran Qorma Masala’ recipe by @mehranarabia using @tanmiahchicken. This is by far one of the best creations I’ve cooked till date and NO THIS IS NOT A PAID POST.
It wasn’t until last night that i finally got to try ‘Lucknowi Tunday Kebab’ or like my friend likes to call it, a close relative. With over 160 spices being used for the original ‘Tunday’ kebab, this variant was born out of an experiment that turned out to be a success.
@makbousexpress has been consistent with the quality of their food and it also happens to be one of the restaurants I regularly visit for takeaway even when the pandemic was in full swing.
Now that we are in a state of semi lockdown thanks to Covid-19 rearing it’s ugly head again, it’s back to the kitchen for Instagram wannabe chefs like me to experiment with cooking. I decided to try my hand at preparing ‘Chicken Ginger Masala’, a recipe I found on a packet of Mehran’s masala.
I had been wanting to try @foodie__suz ‘Kottayam Fish Curry’ recipe and since we had enough ‘ചൂര / Tuna’, @shareeka23 decided to give it a go.
