When I hear Hyderabadi food, the first image that comes to mind is of the legendary “Hyderabadi Biriyani”. Jeddah with it’s a sizeable Hyderabadi population has had it’s positives on the Jeddah restaurant scene.

“Khana Khazana” in the Azizyah district of Jeddah is known for serving up some amazing chicken & mutton biriyani. We got there just after prayer and ordered “Mutton Biriyani” (Family Pack – enough to feed 4 people), “Seekh Kebab”, “Bihari Kebab” and “Chicken Tikka Masala”. 

How do they manage to combine the rice, meat and masala to make it taste this good? The biriyani was excellent but I can’t say the same about the Seekh and Bihari kebab which were quite dry. It didn’t lack in flavour though but a kabab is always meant to be moist.

The “Chicken Tikka Masala” was mouthwatering too, but a bit too rich and heavy on the tummy.

Their portions are quite big too so if you don’t order carefully, you’ll end up with a bit of waste. #FoodwithShayne
