There is no shortage of good seafood in Dubai but there is history behind how ‘Bu Qtair Restaurant’ started out as a tiny little shack and grew into what it is today that got me intrigued. Located in Jumeirah, this shack has turned into a full fledged restaurant serving fresh seafood that you get to choose.

Lunchtime is one of the busiest times of the day and you’ll need both luck and patience to find a good spot to be seated. Also it is recommended you stop by early to place your order or end up waiting an hour for the food to be served.
We decided to go for.
1. Full hamour (AED 75 / KILO) and
2. 1/2 KG of Prawns (AED 150 / KILO) (Marinated in spices and fried on order)

The Prawns were delicious and these should definitely be on your list and pair well with the ghee rice they have on the menu. The Hamour could have done with a bit more salt but all that changed when I squeezed in some lemon.

The restaurant is packed so do keep that in mind and stop by early if you don’t want to wait as long as we did.
