Distinct Burgers from ‘Buntone Burgers’ – Jeddah

When in Jeddah I try to make it a point to catch up with fellow foodie and friend Ahmed Darwish of @thefoodies.sa and he recommended we meet up at @buntoneburgers for lunch. After spending a few hours walking around the old historical Al-Balad area, we were absolutely starved and ready to eat. This isn’t your…

Hyderabadi Food at ‘Romman Restaurant’, Jeddah

I was invited by a colleague to try out ‘Romman Restaurant’ in the crowded Sharafiyah district that serves Hyderabadi cuisine. A few of my colleagues had already visited the place and recommended I give it a try. Parking is hard to come by in the peak hours of the day so I would recommend parking…

Local Jizani Cuisine at ‘Dar al Khayma’ – Jazan, Saudi Arabia

Before I kick off this review, is it Jizan, Jazan or Gizan? I still haven’t decided how I’m going to spell this city and I’m not going to try either. Work took me to Jazan and this was my first visit to the capital of the Jizan region. I’ve heard a lot about the food…

‘Al Sheesh for Barbecue’ – Al Hira st, Jeddah

You tend to find some of the most astonishing food in places you least expect to and ‘Al Sheesh for Barbecue’ ticked all the right boxes. My colleague and friend Zeeshan, also a food enthusiast who operates @hungryboyksa had planned on bringing me here for over a week and I can honestly say, this is…

Traditional Street Food from the ‘Levant’ at ‘Zaroob KSA’, Jeddah

‘Zaroob” is a restaurant chain based in the UAE serving up food from the ‘Levant’ (Syria, Jordan, Lebanon & Palestine) and the name literally translates to ‘Alleyway’ and the food takes inspiration from traditional street food vendors from the region. The restaurant has been open for a few months now and I had the opportunity…

‘Dim Sum Night’ at ‘Toki Restaurant’ – Jeddah

My go to person for all things related to food in Jeddah is Ahmed Darwish of @thefoodies.sa and I joined him for dinner at ‘Toki’ restaurant for their ‘Dim Sum Night’. @tokiksa is a contemporary Chinese cuisine restaurant in the Al Khalidiyah district of Jeddah and it can be a little tricky to spot this…

Hyderabadi Food at ‘Aadaab Restaurant’ – Azizyah, Jeddah

As much as I love trying out different cuisines, I tend to miss good ol’ Indian food from time to time. ‘Aadaab Restaurant’ in the Azizyah area had a good rating on @googlemaps and I joined my colleagues for dinner. ‘Aadaab’ serves hyderabadi food and the best time to pay a visit would be before…

Mega Burgers at ‘Blacktap Craft Burgers & Shakes’ – Jeddah

Blacktap started off in the US around 2015 which is quite recent but has quickly taken off with stores in London, Dubai and a new store in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Known for their craft burgers and ludicrous milkshakes, the joint was a bit crowded when I stopped by for dinner. I wasn’t up for a…

Lip-Smacking ‘Local Srilankan Food’ at ‘Kandy Restaurant’, Jeddah

I have only had Srilankan food once or twice before, so I decided to head to Kandy restaurant which had a pretty good rating on @googlemaps, my guide to local restaurants whenever I travel.  The place looks quite new, clean and well lit with about 6 to 7 tables to seat 4 people each. They…

Experiencing Nigerian / Sudanese Street Food at ‘Milano Grill’, Jeddah

Food is my gateway into experiencing cultures that I’m unfamiliar with and every now and then, I get to experience something new and lasting. I haven’t really much of an opportunity to experience ‘North African’ cuisine and thanks to my colleague Wagdi, I experienced the Sudanese version of a Nigerian favourite called ‘Tsire’ also known…

I remember coming across a ton of posts with reviews about @operationfalafelshrq in early 2018 when they first launched in KSA but I never found the time to visit.
Have you come across a lone ice cream truck in Rakah Corniche with a queue of cars stretching over 1/2 a kilometre?
@chicken.firrie
Today’s post is my version of the ‘Mehran Qorma Masala’ recipe by @mehranarabia using @tanmiahchicken. This is by far one of the best creations I’ve cooked till date and NO THIS IS NOT A PAID POST.
