It so happens that my cousin Saanya is a fan of all things Korean and it was no coincidence when she brought up the idea of dining at ‘Korean Kitchen’ for lunch. I didn’t need much convincing since I too happen to love Korean Food.
‘Korean Kitchen’ in Abu Dhabi is run by Korean entrepreneurs recreating and introducing locals to some of Korea’s favourite fast food. The smell of fried chicken filled the joint and we got down to the serious business of ordering.
I might have gone a little overboard but this is what we ordered.
1. Spicy Chicken Rice – AED 40
2. Shrimp Fried Rice – AED 40
3. Japchae – AED 35
4. Sweet & Spicy Fried Chicken Half (Yang Nyeom) – AED 38
5. Honey Garlic Fried Chicken Half – AED 38
I can’t find fault in any of the items we ordered. Everything from the fried chicken to the spicy chicken rice was exceptional and packed some decent heat. My favourite of the lot had to be the ‘Japchae’ or glass noodles which my cousin ordered and this also happens to be her favourite.
The only complaint would be that the ‘Honey Garlic Fried Chicken’ was a bit too sweet but I have no reason to complain since this was meant to be sweet. Paired with the ‘Prawn Fried Rice’, it is a satisfying combination. Mix in some kimchi and this is the perfect comfort snack.
What would I like to try again? I’m definitely getting some ‘Japchae’ and ‘Yang Nyeom’ on my next visit to Abu Dhabi.

Just one thing Shayne. Korean Kitchen is founded and run by Myself and my brother, we are all Koreans. Yes, the majority of staff are Filipinos. So can you correct it here and Google please.
After your review, we had an internal workshop and decided to reduce sweetness of Honey Galic chicken.

I apologise for making that assumption and will have it corrected right away. I really enjoyed the food and my cousin Saanya is a frequent visitor. I was on a visit when she recommended your wonderful restaurant to us.
The food was exceptional and I’m glad you took my observation seriously.
I wish you the best and hope one day, you will open a branch in Saudi. This place needs a proper Korean restaurant.
